School Girl’s Project
Using systems thinking to tackle drop out rates among teenage girls in Western Kenya.
SAYDS welcomed a brilliant cohort of young people who are deeply passionate about social change to the inaugural SAYDS Fellowship. They will have the unique opportunity to acquire a deeply analytical systems thinking lens. They will be able to develop and test holistic solutions to complex problems in their local communities. The fellows are based in Nairobi, Kisumu and Siaya. There will be 9 teams with 5-6 young people each. The teams are being formed on a rolling basis. The fellows are tackling a wide array of social issues including mental health among young people, poor education outcomes and the high rate of teenage girl drop out due to lack of hygiene products.
